Nobody on our Battersea round learned carpet cleaning off YouTube. The training is formal, the certificates are real, and the first thing a technician does on arrival is work out what the carpet is actually made of.

That is what NCCA, IICRC and WoolSafe accreditation is for. Wool behaves nothing like a polypropylene twist. Treat one like the other and you get shrinkage, pile distortion, or a mark that comes back browner than it started.

Stains get looked at one at a time. A biro mark and a curry ring want completely different chemistry, and the wrong choice sets the stain rather than lifting it. So we test in a corner first. Boring, but it is the difference between a clean carpet and an expensive mistake.

We're not trying to be flashy about it. We just turn up, do the job right, and leave your carpets looking like they should. Battersea trusts us with their carpets for one simple reason. We don't cut corners.

The thing people actually worry about with carpet cleaning is how wet the carpet ends up. Fair enough. A soaked carpet takes days to dry, smells musty the whole time, and can leave the backing worse off than the pile. We work the other way round. Proper preparation loosens the soil before any water goes down, which means less water is needed to begin with. Less going in, less to pull back out.

Deep carpet cleaning lives or dies on the extraction, and that is where the machine earns its keep. Vacuum recovery pulls the water back out of the pile rather than leaving it to evaporate on its own. Carpets come back walkable in a few hours instead of a couple of days, and there is no sticky residue sitting in the fibres waiting to attract the next lot of dirt.
